School History
Raghadan Secondary School for Boys is considered one of the oldest and most prestigious educational and academic institutions in the heart of the Jordanian capital, Amman, representing a towering historical symbol that encapsulates the journey of education and state-building in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. Established in the year 1954, this ancient school was named in honor of the historic "Raghadan Palace," the very first Hashemite landmark built by the founder, King Abdullah I bin Al-Hussein, in Amman to manage governance affairs, which bestowed upon the school a profound national and emotional value that tightly linked it to the Jordanian national identity and the beginnings of the educational renaissance in the country. Over the past decades, Raghadan School was never just a conventional educational institution for receiving knowledge; rather, it served as an intellectual beacon and a pioneering educational environment that shaped the personalities of successive generations, transforming into a true foundry of leaders and men. Throughout its long history, the school has been distinguished by harboring an elite group of virtuous teachers and educators who instilled values of belonging and excellence in the hearts of students. This dedication culminated in graduating a constellation of modern Jordan's most prominent statesmen, including prime ministers, ministers, physicians, journalists, and intellectuals who left clear and influential marks on shaping the path of the modern Jordanian state and developing its various institutions across all political, economic, and social fields.
