Awareness and Guidance Lecture

At #Raghadan_Secondary_School_for_Boys, and under the guidance and supervision of Principal #Midhat_Abdeen, the school continues its mission of human development and values-building. It achieves this by embracing educational and humanitarian initiatives that raise awareness and foster a culture of respect, solidarity, and social responsibility.
In this context, the school hosted an awareness and guidance lecture titled:
#People_with_Disabilities_Their_Needs_and_the_Role_of_Inclusion_in_the_Local_Community
This event was held in cooperation with the #Greater_Amman_Municipality (#People_with_Disabilities_Unit) and in coordination with the Municipality’s Media Officer. It was a session rich in knowledge and dialogue, conveying a noble humanitarian and educational message regarding the importance of #Social_Inclusion, respect for the rights of people with disabilities, and the promotion of their active participation in society.
The lecture was delivered by Mr. #Issam_Hamdan_Sawalha, #Head_of_the_Jordanian_People_with_Disabilities_Gathering. He addressed several key topics, most notably #Law_No_20_of_2017 and issues related to #Employment, #Education, and #Health. He also discussed combating #Bullying, the proper etiquette for interacting with people with disabilities, and the importance of adapting the surrounding environment to facilitate genuine and effective inclusion. The lecture also featured several insightful interventions that enriched the dialogue: Mr. Walid Abu Obaid addressed employment-related issues, while Ms. Inam Omar discussed the proper etiquette for interacting with people with disabilities. Ms. Heba Al-Ghazawi highlighted the family's role in preparing children with disabilities for social integration, and Ms. Jumana addressed the issue of school bullying and its negative impacts. Additionally, Mr. Hamza Kassab—a member of our school community—contributed to enriching the event and helping achieve its awareness-raising and educational goals.
Rooted in our religious and ethical values, this event underscored the significance of compassion, social solidarity, benevolence, respect for the individual, and the preservation of human dignity—translating these principles into practical behavior and an ingrained culture. Our faith encourages cooperation in goodness, caring for others, supporting those in need, and fostering compassion among community members.
Raghdan Secondary School for Boys affirms that its mission extends beyond academics to instilling values and building the character of a conscious student—one capable of respecting differences, rejecting bullying, embracing diversity, and interacting with others humanely and responsibly. The school administration also commends the significant efforts made to organize this event and extends its sincere thanks and appreciation to Dr. Sakhaa Al-Halalmeh, Director of the Disability Unit at the Greater Amman Municipality; Mr. Issam Hamdan Sawalha; all lecturers and participants; and the entire administrative and organizing staff who contributed to the success of this meaningful gathering.
Furthermore, the administration extends its gratitude to everyone involved in coordination and preparation—particularly Mr. Mounir Al-Huwaidi, in recognition of his efforts and contributions to the event's success—as well as to the students who participated and engaged with this humanitarian and educational message. We affirm that the partnership between the school and local community institutions opens broader horizons for fostering a more conscious and responsible generation.
Special thanks and appreciation go to the School Principal, Mr. Medhat Abdeen, for his continuous support of purposeful initiatives and his commitment to ensuring that Raghadan School remains a beacon of knowledge, education, and values—an environment that embraces everything that serves humanity and the community.
